Global Money Week

Engaging with communities across Europe

Supporting financial vulnerable people in The Netherlands

There are currently 250,000 financially vulnerable individuals under guardianship in the Netherlands. Visa is working in collaboration with the NBBI in the Netherlands and Orenda Finance on a joint project building an innovative payment solution to empower guardians and support those under guardianship.

The solution gives guardians access to accounts through one platform, helping them effectively open vulnerable individual’s bank accounts and manage their finances.

Olympic values education programme in Turkey

Visa is working in partnership with UNDP and Habitat Association to educate and inspire children in disadvantaged areas in Turkey. The project teaches children about the spirit, symbolism, and significance of the Olympic Games, with the objective of providing them with life skills, fostering their potential in sports, and instilling self-belief in their abilities.

The project activities include training children aged 8-14 on olympic values, sports festivals and motivational conversations with Olympic athletes and a sailing and resilience camp.

11,000 children across Turkey will be reached by the programme, spanning 12 provinces.

Spotlighting refugee women entrepreneurs

This programme shines a spotlight on the remarkable contributions of entrepreneurial refugee women from across Europe, providing them with a platform to tell their stories of resilience and determination.



Each year, Visa honours 20 women from diverse backgrounds who are not only overcoming personal hardships, but are actively reshaping narratives — leaving a lasting positive impact on society.

Aflatoun

We have partnered with Aflatoun, a global social and financial education network that engages with organizations and governments on delivering quality financial education, reaching over 35 million youth every year. With a strong presence across Europe, Aflatoun and Visa are working together on providing entrepreneurial and financial education and developing skills in communities through local events.

Biz Kids

We have teamed up with Biz Kids, an online learning platform and community of young entrepreneurial Gen Alpha children. Through this partnership, Visa and Biz Kids are teaching young people about financial inclusion, money management and business skills.

Digital Boost

We have partnered with Digital Boost, a non-profit organisation that connects industry professionals with fledgling small businesses. As part of this project, Visa colleagues are working with entrepreneurs, providing mentorship and knowledge sharing to help them solve challenges and grow their businesses.

Fondazione Mondo Digitale

We are collaborating with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale to help young people develop digital and financial skills. This project includes working with schools across Italy to increase financial knowledge and promote STEM subjects among young people, ranging from coding to sustainability.

Glovo

We have teamed up with the Glovo app to help small businesses thrive in today’s digital world. Through a series of online training courses, together Visa are sharing resources and information to help entrepreneurs learn key skills around digital payments, money management and marketing.

MyBnk

We’re working with MyBnk, a charity dedicated to creating a financially fluent population. MyBnk works with over 40,000 children and young adults across the UK every year, delivering expert-led, high-impact financial education programmes. They bring the language of finance to life so that everyone can navigate their money with confidence, no matter where they started.

Tent Partnership for Refugees

We are working with Tent, a network of over 70 major companies that are committed to hiring refugees across the country and helping them become job-ready. As part of this, Visa is helping to provide better access to employment to refugees in the UK and elsewhere in Europe.

NaTakallam

As part of our Visa New Doors programme, we’re working with Natakallam, which provides award‒winning language learning, translation, interpretation and cultural exchange services — powered by refugee talent and conflict‒affected individuals.
