Visa has been a Worldwide Olympic Partner since 1986, when the company joined the TOP Programme as a charter member. In 2018, it extended its Olympic partnership through to 2032. At each edition of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Visa provides technologically advanced payment systems, enabling convenient, reliable and secure payments for athletes and fans, at venues and at home.
In addition to providing payment services to the games spectators and Organising Committees, Visa has developed a tradition of programmes that have celebrated and supported more than 700 Olympic and Paralympic athletes and hopefuls through Team Visa since 2000 – providing the tools and resources they need to be successful both on and off the field.
