To support a secure and seamless checkout process, Visa enables Visa Click to Pay for eligible Visa cards without needing users to manually enter their card details. These eligible Visa cards will be associated with the email address and mobile number that you commonly use for online shopping. You will continue to have an option to add cards manually either through the consumer portal, during the merchant checkout process where Visa Click to Pay is available, or via your issuing bank's app.
For individuals without a Visa Click to Pay account, when making purchases at merchants that accept Click to Pay, Visa may send a one-time password (OTP) to the email and mobile number that you used to shop on that merchant. After verification and acceptance of the Click to Pay terms, all of your eligible Visa cards will be then displayed.
Your OTP will always be from ‘Visa’ via mobile and ‘[email protected]’ via email. Please do not share this with anyone else.
If you wish to opt out of these changes, you may remove your cards from Visa Click to Pay at any time through the consumer portal.

-
Cards from other payment networks, like Mastercard, American Express and Discover, may not be available. We recommend you contact Mastercard, American Express and Discover to manage or set up those cards. You can also set up or manage your cards during checkout at participating merchants.

In the experience, select the user icon in the top right corner on the Review & Confirm screen. Then select Sign Out to no longer be remembered. You’ll need to re-enter your email address and verify your identity the next time you pay with Click to Pay.
-
-
This could be for several reasons. For example:
- You have made too many failed attempts using your one-time code
- For your safety, we need more information

After a short period of inactivity or if you close your browser window, you’ll be automatically signed out of your session. To continue, you will need to start your session again.

For your convenience and to ensure you are able to easily access the one-time code on the device you are using while paying, we send the code to both your phone and email. You can use the code sent to either your phone or email to complete your purchase.
-
-
You may update your phone number on the Visa Click to Pay consumer portal to make sure you receive the one-time code. Follow steps below to update your mobile phone number.
- Login on Visa Click to Pay consumer portal with the email address associated with Click to Pay
- Enter the one-time code sent to your email address and/or phone
- Head to “My Address Book” section and edit phone numbers – you may need to edit all phone numbers associated with your cards’ billing addresses
If the number on your profile is correct and you are still experiencing issues receiving the one-time code, this could be because your service provider is blocking SMS alerts. We recommend that you check with your service provider and review the SMS settings to allow notifications from short code 86301.
Please note that when you request a one-time code to be sent to your mobile number, for your convenience Visa also sends the one-time code to your email address associated with Visa Click to Pay. To ensure you are able to continue with your payment using Click to Pay, you could also check your email.

Remember me
-
-
Yes, you can choose to enable this feature by selecting Remember Me. Then you can skip entering your email and a one-time code to access the cards you set up for Visa Click to Pay. It’s a great way to make your checkout experience even faster and easier – you won’t have to enter your 16-digit card number and other payment information. ‘Remember Me’ works for all online store websites displaying the Click to Pay icon
where Visa is accepted. This feature is not recommended for shared devices.
-
-
By selecting Remember Me, Visa will remember you on that browser and device and you can skip verification on that device and browser the next time you click to pay with Visa. This means that you’ll be able to see the Visa cards, email, names, phone numbers and addresses you set up on Visa Click to Pay and you won’t need to enter a one-time code to check out. For your security, we’ll still ask you to re-verify in certain situations such as updating your personal info.
Go to My Device Settings to change your settings at any time. This feature is not recommended for shared devices.
-
-
We have evolved the Trust this Device feature into Remember Me to improve your checkout experience. Previously, you had to choose ‘Remember me’ to be remembered on the device and also choose ‘Trust this Device’ (or ‘Stay Signed In’) to be able to skip entering a one-time code in order to check out. Now you can do this by simply turning on Remember Me. You can adjust your Remember Me settings anytime by signing in to Visa Click to Pay consumer portal and going to the My Device Settings section on the My Card Details screen.

-
You may see updates to your saved cards as we aim to bring you an easy, smart and secure online checkout wherever you see the Click to Pay icon
