Process

We are extremely proud to offer award winning apprenticeship programmes here at Visa. Since the official launch of our programmes in 2011, we have had over 80 school/collegeleavers join us, with the majority of them graduating into permanent roles within the company.

Currently, all our apprenticeships are 4 years long and you’ll study a degree during this time. You’ll complete 5 six-month rotations at the start of the apprenticeship, followed by a longer 18-month rotation in a specialist area of the business. This allows our apprentices to experience many exciting and challenging areas of the business.

At the end of the programme, our you will have gained a BSc (Hons) degree in an area relevant to the work you have done at Visa, as well as other industry recognised qualifications depending on placement areas.

Frequently asked questions

: Our Apprenticeships don’t have a fixed opening date for applications, but we do aim to have them all advertised on our website by the end of October each year, ready for you to start the following year.
: Definitely not, we value diversity of thought, and are very open to people from a range of disciplines. Whilst some of our roles do require specific technical skills, as an Apprentice we will provide all the technical training you need to be successful in the role. Our application process is much more focussed around your behaviours and approach to problem solving and challenging situations, than any technical skills you have.
: Our goal is for you to get a varied experience, along with feeling passionate about the work you are doing at Visa. However, we have to balance this against making sure your rotations also include you doing work of real value. So, whilst we encourage you to explore your options for rotations, and find the things in Visa you are passionate about, we can’t guarantee a rotation in any specific part of the business for an individual.
: We are more than happy to accommodate any requirements you may have, to ensure a fair and unbiased recruitment process. Once you have made your application your recruiter will contact you about the next steps. At this point, please let them know about any adjustments you require.
: Research is vitally important when making any application, so look over our website, search for us on social media and find us in the news. This will all help you to understand Visa as a business better, and learn more about what we look for. Everyone at Visa contributes to us being the leading global payments provider, so while we don’t expect you to be a payments expert, we do want to hear you talk confidently and coherently about Visa and our business, specifically why you’re passionate about it. However, you should be able to talk in more depth about our Apprenticeship programme and why it specifically appeals to you.
: Unfortunately, we are currently unable to sponsor anyone joining us on an Apprenticeship who doesn’t have the right to work in the UK.
